Iskul Bukol Reunion

Pacman vs Golden Boy
will NOT be the biggest event this December.

The Tito, Vic, and Joey trio are now working on a reunion movie for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival. The tentative title is Escaleras and Ungasis: 20 Years After. For those not familiar, the Escalera brothers Tito and Joey and their friend Vic Ungasis are the trio of main characters of Iskul Bukol - a now defunct TV series that was a huge hit in the Philippines during the 70s and 80s. The show made the TVJ trio into a local household name.

The script was written by fellow cast member Bibeth Orteza. Joining them will be their favorite teacher Miss Tapia (Mely Tagasa). Other characters who might reprise their role are Tonette Macho (Anthony Roquel) who is still part of GMA's production staff, and Ariel Villasanta of the famous Ariel and Maverick comedy duo.

Two words:
Iskul F*ckin' Bukol.

Bring Back JackTV & Basketball TV!

I saw this petition link on my facebook account. Actually, I am a member of the Basketball TV group in facebook. There is an ongoing petition demanding SkyCable to bring back Basketball TV, Jack TV and Solar Sports in their channel lineup.

This petition is I guess applicable to those who have to bear the monopoly of SkyCable in their area. But still, please spread the word on this petition. Surely you want to have the dosage or even overload of NBA Games, WWE matches, Family Guy, The Simpsons that you have been accustomed to back in your boxes right?

And to those working in companies, if somebody from ABS-CBN sales approach you and pitches for their crap replacement channels (BALLS, MAXXX, Velvet - no pun intended Cy), don't listen to their bullshit. That would teach them a thing or two about what the CONSUMER REALLY WANTS!

Another Pinoy in American Idol!

Renaldo Lapuz is unmistakably Pinoy. Not that we should be proud of it. He's crazy dumb. Very funny though. In case you missed it:

Californication

The other day I saw David Duchovny on Late Night. Apparently, he's back on the tube. This time as a sex-addicted writer "unfortunately" lost in the vaginas of California. "There were 8 breasts in the pilot episode - two of which were mine," said Duchovny. "Sold," said I. In a few minutes I was watching the pilot. He lied. There were ten breasts. Suffice to say I was hooked. But not because of them breasts, of course. Not because of them breasts. It was actually funny. Somehow I saw Mike Myers in David Duchovny. Mike Myers in David Duchovny. You have to check it out for yourselves. I've seen the first two [sidenote: although not that important - more breasts] and I am now currently downloading the next three.

The Wilyonaryo Fiasco

Willie Revillame is fake. As Joey de Leon aptly stated, "Aralin mong umiyak nang may luha. [Learn how to cry with tears]" Contrary to what Willie said, he wasn't defending himself. Again, like in so many other instances, Willie falls back to grandstanding what he arguably stands for - helping the poor and bringing joy to their lives."Alam mo ba ginagawa ko dito? Para malaman mo lang; hindi ko sinusumbat to. Bahay, sa kwarto at studio lang ako. Nandun lng ako sa loob ng kwarto ko mag-isa -- iniisip ko kung ano gagawin ko ulit para mapasaya ang buong mundo [Do you know what I do here? Just so you'll know; not to brag. House, my room, and studio. I'm just there inside my room alone -- thinking of what I can do to make the whole world happy]," says Willie. That's a lot to bear, Mr. Savior. Besides, that wasn't the issue. People weren't questioning your motives. They were looking for an explanation. You say that Joey de Leon is making it personal between the two of you. I believe it's the other way around.
